General Data Protection Regulation
The European Union (EU) introduced a landmark regulation called the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR in short) on the 25th of May, 2018.
The goal of GDPR is to give EU residents drastic improvements to their privacy rights and control over their personal data, and to protect them from privacy breaches and leaks.
clawmark.io is committed to complying with the GDPR and protecting the privacy of our users. We have implemented measures to ensure that our services are GDPR-compliant and that our users' data is secure.
Desktop Application
The Clawmark desktop application is local-first — all your data stays on your device by default. No personal data is collected or transmitted unless you opt in to the cloud sync service.
Cloud Sync Service
If you subscribe to our cloud sync service, your task data is stored on servers located in the EU (eu-west-1 region). You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data at any time. Upon account deletion, all your synced data is permanently removed from our servers.
Third-Party Services
All the third-party services we use are GDPR-compliant:
- Creem — the payment service we use to process subscription payments.
- WorkOS — the authentication service we use to manage user accounts.
- Convex — the backend infrastructure where cloud sync data is stored (EU region).
- Brevo — the service we use to send emails and newsletters.

- Access your personal data held by us.
- Rectify inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Erase your personal data ("right to be forgotten").
